LG Viewty KU990 Review
Ranking among the first touch screen phones to released, the LG Viewty is best seen as an improvement to the LG Prada. LG Viewty introduces several additions to LG Prada including the 5Megapixel camera, 3G connectivity, a boost to battery life and the upgrading of the video camera.
The 5 megapixel camera comes equipped with a Schneider-Kreuznach lens for high quality photos, in addition to autofocus and SmartLight, a unique feature that makes the photos taken at night clearer. On the same note, the ISO setting can be adjusted to ISO 800 to increase brightness of the photographs during the night or in conditions of poor lighting. The camera also comes with the Image Stabiliser feature which helps minimise shaking and although there are numerous more superior camera phones from Nokia and Sony Ericsson, LG Viewty also holds its waters among the cameras in its class.
The video camera also shoots high quality VGA videos at a resolution of 320X240. With considerably high frame rates of up to one hundred and twenty frames each second, special effects the likes of slow motion recording can be introduced into the videos. As for editing, the camera comes equipped with nifty video and photo editing software. Another equally exciting feature of the phone is the ability to make video calls on 3G enabled networks by taking advantage of the second front facing camera that comes in-built into the phone.
