You also have regular Android phone features like a beautiful high resolution touch screen, Bluetooth connectivity, 5 mega pixel camera with auto focus, LED camera flash, and HD video capability. It has a 3.5 mm audio jack and ships with 8GB memory card. There is a microSD lot for additional memory. The screen features auto rotating feature which automatically shows your picture in landscape or portrait mode. The phone is expected to work with T-Mobile’s high speed network, which T-Mobile says will deliver 4G speeds.

The T-Mobile G2 gives access to Google applications such as Google search, GTalk, Google maps, gmail, calendar and YouTube. The web browser will be powered by Adobe flash player. The T-Mobile G2 accessories such as battery, charger, USB cable, stereo headset and memory card are included in the shipment. The included battery is 1300 mAh lithium-ion which gives you a talk time of up to six and half hours and stand by time of up to seventeen and half days. If you are looking for T-Mobile G2 batteries they are available from sites such as fommy.com. You could get Ventev’s Lithium-Ion battery with 1700mAh which is compatible with T-Mobile G2. Other T-Mobile G2 accessories such as Bluetooth head phones, stereo headphones and microSD memory cards are also available. You could also get T-Mobile G2 cases. There are both vertical and horizontal G2 cases such as Wilshire Smartphone Vertical Case, Washington Smartphone Vertical Case and Warrington Smartphone Horizontal Case, all from manufacturer Amzer.

If you want to pre-order your T-Mobile G2, you can do so at the T-Mobile website. You just have to simply register there. You could also go to your local Best Buy store and pre-order. The phone would require data plans to make full use of the web accessibility features. T-Mobile offers an unlimited web deal for the G2. Along with that you could take text, instant, picture and video messaging. You also have the option of selecting from any of the plus plans which T-Mobile offers. Of course, you still need to sign up to a 2-year contract or pay twice that amount without a contract, but we all believe that the G2 Android phone is worth it.

The Lastest Android Powered Phone, The Samsung Fascinate

October 19th, 2010 No comments

What makes the Samsung Fascinate different from other Android phones? It is probably the Bing search engine, the Bing maps, the whole Verizon deal with Bing. The navigation tool is from Verizon as well, not your usual free Google Navigation app found on other android phones. While Bing search and Bing maps are really quite comfortable to use, if you prefer the Google, you have to use your android browser to go to google.com. The navigation application is connected to facebook to provide real time updates. You could of course access widgets for other google applications such as GTalk and You Tube.

This does not mean that all is not well with your Samsung Fascinate. The Super AMOLED screen is pure joy. It provides very good picture quality and screen resolution, better than the other android phones. The screen dims down after about 15 seconds of use to save battery life. The phone is very thin and at 4.16 ounces, considerably lighter than most other android phones. The battery is 1500mAH and lasts up to seven and a half hours of talk time. The phone’s call quality is really great. And you of course have standard android phone features such as 5 mega pixel camera, LED flash, 720p video.

Verizon has also loaded the Fascinate with a lot of useful apps which are not found in other Android phones. You get Exchange ActiveSync e-mail which synchronizes with e-mail, calendar etc. You can use Swype, if you do not want to use the regular keyboard. You have the Verizon’s Write and Go App which allow you to send text via SMS, email or social networking. You have the option of sending photos to gmail, flickr etc. You also have V-Cast Apps (Verizon’s apps which compete against Google’s widgets) for music, videos etc. In addition Samsung and Verizon are providing periodic updates, the first of which allows you to use your search while on a call as well as facilitates faster switching between 3G and 1x RTT. The synchronization with email has been improved in the update. You also get Android 2.2 (Froyo) update which will allow you to use Google search on your Fascinate.

Your Samsung Fascinate would most likely need accessories for an enhanced experience. Verizon itself generously offers an extended battery which has a power of 2200 mAH. This is one accessory which is not available in other stores. Along with that you could also get other Samsung Fascinate accessories such as Samsung Fascinate cases, Fascinate screen protectors, clips, stereo head sets etc. You could get the typical accessories such as cases, screen protectors and head sets from other stores as well. You could even order them online.

With the Android 2.2 update, you could start using Google search and maps on the Samsung Fascinate. And with that choice, and its unique features such as the super screen, the V-Cast apps and regular free updates, Samsung Fascinate becomes a very desirable android phone.

Introducing The Best Phone For Verizon, The Fascinate

October 19th, 2010 No comments

The Samsung Fascinate, latest in the Galaxy S series, hit the smart phone market in the early part of September. Rivaling, and in many cases overshadowing, the Droid X and the Apple iPhone, the Fascinate sports a great AMOLED screen and a processor that can run high definition videos and games. Once you acquire this powerful smart phone, your life will take a drastic turn for the better. Let’s explore some ways to keep your Fascinate operating to its full capacity and looking as nice as the day you opened the box.

Samsung Fascinate accessories that are included with the original purchase will most likely satisfy the majority of consumers, but nonetheless, it’s nice to have different options. Although the Fascinate comes equipped with a 16GB card, the phone will hold a 32GB microSD card, allowing you to store an incredible amount of photos, videos and music. The original battery provides the user with about 7 hours of talk time and 312 hours standby time. If the user needs a longer battery life, high capacity extended batteries are good alternatives to always stay charged. The Fascinate package includes a wall/USB charger to conveniently charge either from AC power or from the USB port on a computer or laptop. A simple stand charger will charge both phone and extra battery simultaneously. Many users will appreciate the desktop charger dock that displays your choice of clock, local weather, news headlines and more while charging. Car chargers function as an option for convenient charging during the day to and from work, during day outings or for travel needs.

Protective Samsung Fascinate cases are different in many ways, from a soft, silicone gel case to a highly decorative hard case in fun choices of color and design. Relatively inexpensive, a silicone gel case easily wraps around the back and edges of the phone to afford protection to the edges and corners. Silicone gel covers provide an anti-slip feature to help prevent slips from hands or surfaces. Hard plastic cases provide stronger protection against wear and tear, but some styles can be more difficult to place on the phone. Most cases cover the phone only and leave the sensitive touch screen unprotected.

With your new phone safely wrapped for protection, the next step is to invest in one of the Samsung Fascinate screen protectors. A thin layer of protective film offers a great deal of protection from the problems of everyday usage such as oil, dirt, dust, fingerprints and scratches. Screen protectors come in several different styles including clear anti-scratch, anti-glare or privacy screen to protect against others viewing your phone.

Taking the Android phone to a whole new level with its ultra-slim design, powerful processor and incredible graphics, the Samsung Fascinate appeals to all types of users. Consider your level of use, select your accessories accordingly and increase the life of your phone and your personal enjoyment.
